Scarlets Application -- Probation till 2/23

1.) My Account Name is OtoKiroo.1695. I am 17 years old, currently from Canada, (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). My name is Jessy.


2.) My main character's name is Scarlet Woods, LV80 Thief, Leatherworker and Hunstman.
Soon to play character is Sarah Woods, LV2 Warrior, Unknown.
Elanie Woods, LV11 Engineer, Unknown.
Currently, im mostly trying to perfect my main character, though in the near future, i plan on getting my warrior LV80 along with one of my buddies.


3.) I currently play on Dragonbrand and will stay there.


4.) Ive played a few MMO's... Aion, Rift, World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 1, Final Fantasy XIV, Fiesta, Darkeden, Runescape, and a whole other bunch i can hardly remember. The only MMO i play currently is Guild Wars 2. I play a few other games like League of Legends, Diablo 3, Path of Exile, etc.


5.) Please rate each of the following aspects of Guild Wars 2 in order of importance to you. (1=Lowest, 5=Highest)
a. Story/Lore - 3
b. Exploration/Cartography - 5
c. Extracurricular Activities such as crafting, (power) trading, chatting - 6
d. General casual play - 1
e. High Level or Challenging areas (most likely with a group, ie: end game content and dungeons) - 2
f. PvP or WvWvW - 4


6.) Im interested in finding a guild where i can easily form parties and have fun with each other while doing dungeons, exploring maps, doing events, playing WvW or even just chatting together. Currently, i mostly play solo or with another buddy of mine most of the time, which because boring rather quickly. Its always fun playing with experienced and mature people. It helps me quickly find people to complete dungeons, find help if needed, or give help to whoever is in need.


7.) Ive heard about this guild in Guild Wars 1, and ive also met with Lyla in WvW where we talked for a few minutes. She told me to give a little peek to the forums and apply if i was interested in joining.

9.) I really dont have a certain set time, but i try to play atleast once a day to atleast complete my daily achievements and maybe run a dungeon or 2 if i can. On weekends, i play abit more.


10.) Yes i played Guild Wars 1. Thinking it over, i really forgot about the name of my guild and my main characters name. Recently, i tried linking my Guild Wars 1 account with my Guild Wars 2 one, but it didnt work. I spent the last 2 days trying to recover my account without success, so i used one of my old friends account to connect it so i could go back to Guild Wars 1 and get a few achievements from the Hall of Monuments. Im currently LV12, Necro/Rit, named Im The NecroDancer.


11.) The most important thing to me in a guild is to be able to play and socialize with people and have fun together. Playing alone becomes very boring. Its also very nice knowing your guild mates are mature and experienced and can help you if you are in help.

could you expand on question 2, please include profession, level and any other characters you have/are working on.

for example:
Ariana Stormgaard - Mesmer - 80
Lily Stormgaard - Guardian - 14 and working on him
Virginia Stormgaard - Warror - 9 and not used

note: while it is not essential that you have more than one level 80 your ability to contribute to guild runs will improve if you have more characters available

Im not entirely sure what /trial or +1 means, Im guessing you guys are voting for me?

Yes. A trial is just a group event (like a dungeon) with an officer or two so that they can speak with you and observe how you interact with the team. A +1 is just an upvote on the application.

Did a few runs with him last night in CM. Scarlet has loads of potential but he needs time to learn our runs. He kept telling us how familiar he was with CM but he kept getting ahead of the group and wanting to run past most of the things. Rider was leading the run and had to remind him to slow up several times.

Other than that Scarlet did introduce a new tactic to us on the asura path that works really well and is not an exploit. Since Rider forms most CM runs I would leave it to him to introduce that tactic to the rest of the guild if he would like.

Overall Scarlet is a good player. His thief was a bit squishy so he may want to find a mentor like matti, perf or dar to work with him on that if he would like to.

I'd definatly love to learn more about the runs to adapt myself better, and help for my thief would be great too. I currently only have the Magic Find set from CM but people keep complaining its bad, and i believe them! (Keep dying)
