Rumor has it that Empower allies is toast, unless you wanna drop 20 points in tactics.

I was fiddling with some build ideas and what I came up with that I personally liked was 30/20/0/0/20. This is an axe build, cause I hate Greatsword. I'm just throwing what I came up with out there in hopes to start a discussion on build alternatives or ideas with the change of empowered allies no longer being an adept trait.

Keep in mind, I am not a min-maxer, I just go for what looks nice to me and take it. So I'm not really looking for "better alternatives" so if you want to criticize that's fine, just keep it on the DL. Leave the math on the absolute BEST build to someone else who is interested in having the best of the best.

**EDIT**
Decided I liked 30/10/0/0/30, Axe-Mace/Axe-Warhorn
Another set-up I like is also for GS -- 30/25/0/0/15

Note: This is for post October 15th Patch.

I'm going to go ahead and pretend the last paragraph doesn't exist even though I'm 95% certain it's aimed at me.  I won't put any real math in the post, but I will tell you a better alternative that I came up with when those teq patch notes leaked (the ones that didn't really happen, which I assume are the same as the ones you're talking about).

30/10/0/0/30
The main difference is this build keeps the 10 in discipline for the 10% crit damage increase and the 15% crit chance.  The build you posted gets 460 precision, which equates to an additional 21% crit chance.  The problem with that is the crit chance caps at 100%.  The Heightened focus build already hits the cap even with 6% less crit chance, so having that extra precision is basically worthless.  Not to mention you're wasting a minor trait by increasing the crit chance of your burst skill by an additional 10% instead of getting a whole meager might stack from having 25 in discipline.  If I were you I would put signet of might on that bar instead of fury.  Basically I'm saying the additional 10 points into Arms is useless, and without math I sound condescending when I say it, but it's true.

With the build I posted your personal DPS will be roughly the same as before the change to empower allies because you're losing 80 precision (3% crit chance is lost from the existing 103%.  How will I crit now?) and gaining 30 power and ~3 vulnerability stacks.  Yours has the same crit chance, but less power and crit damage.

But as you said, you're not looking for better alternatives.  I guess this is so other people can know they exist.

Lol it wasn't aimed at you I just don't want arguments. That makes sense though I just threw that together at work. I thought those changes were still coming though. Either way, you could have done the math if you wanted. Thanks for the suggestion. I was poking around for build alternatives anyway regardless of the changes. I didn't think about changing out signet of fury though, but that's a good point.

Thank you Abyss. Your skills in math and your willingness to crunch the numbers means I will probably just run what you tell me to on my warrior since I have very little desire to do all the calculations myself.

Thank you both for your recommendations.

  • Lung Capacity and Empower Allies have switched positions on traits. You can now have Shrug it Off and Lung Capacity to improve support.

  • Vigorous Shout – a bit more effective, increased base heal by 25%.

  • Hammer – Staggering Blow – you can now move when using this ability.

  • Sigil of Paralyzation was fixed and now applies 15% stun duration properly instead of rounding up. This affects mostly warriors who were using Earthshaker on the hammer to stun lock enemies in PvP (it will now be a 2.3s stun instead of 3s stun).

Told you it was still happening.
