Digilodger.3186, 20 years old, MDT. 

I'm living in the USA, but unfortunately I cannot play during NA prime time on weekdays due to work; I'm usually online for an hour or two between 10pm and 5am server time on weekdays. I do play for 4+ hrs and NA prime time on weekends though.

Heavy-Armor Professions:

• Mythbound Aegis - Guardian - level 80
  
• Edgebound Contender - Guardian - level 80
  
• Warbound Blader - Warrior - level 80
  

Medium-Armor Professions:

• Deathbound Shadow - Thief - level 80
  
• Dustbound Alchemist - Engineer - level 80
  
• Wildbound Warden - Ranger - level 20, should be level 80 in a month or two.
  

Light-Armor Professions:

• Psychebound Mirage - Mesmer - level 80
  
• Spellbound Marvel - Elementalist - level 80
  
• Gravebound Omen - Necromancer - level 80
  

3.) Tell us about how you play your primary profession(s). How are you geared? What role do you play in a team?

Guardians:  I have 2 guardians to adapt to PUG groups when necessary.  Mythbound Aegis (knight armor, berserker trinkets) is the tanky-type, built to carry any group through any dungeon path, except for TA F/U and Arah p4 (due to DPS checkpoint, which PUGs oftentimes lacks).  Edgebound Contender (full berserker) is the dps type--still provide the core function of the guardian in the group while providing significantly more dps than the tanky type.

Warrior:  All out dps and offensive support.  Wearing full berserker gears with Scholar Runes on armor and Ascended trinkets.

Mesmer:  Phantasm-shatter hybrid, pulling enemies with Temporal Curtain (focus #4), and providing additional projectile reflection and unique utilities, also provide perma vigor regen and doubling boon durations with Signet of Inspiration.  Wearing full berserker gears with Ruby Orbs and Ascended trinkets.

Elementalist: Lightning-hammer dps, provide mights+fury for nearby allies by blasting in Persisting Flame fire fields.  Wearing 3 pieces of soldier gears and berserker everything else, can go full berserker if in good team.

I also play other professions here and there, but not as often as these 4.


4.) What server are you currently on? if not on Dragonbrand do you intend on changing?

I'm on Jade Quarry.  I don't intend in switching because I also enjoy the WvW aspect of this game.  Also, JQ has been my home since launch; been through its ups and downs, it's hard to leave.


5.) What MMO games have you played in the past? Do you still play them?

Some random free-to-play MMOs that I've forgotten the names . . . and Guild Wars 1.  No.


6.) Please rate each of the following aspects of Guild Wars 2 in order of importance to you. (1=Lowest, 5=Highest)

7.) Please explain why you would like to join ToA.

I enjoy running dungeons--that is what I spend most of my time doing in GW2.  That was why I joined [LOD], a great speed-clearing dungeon guilds; they've given me a taste of how efficient an organized team can be and I've learnt a lot from them.

However, being someone who likes to test different builds and enjoy playing different classes, I found [LOD] a little bit too restrictive and hardcore for my playstyle. So I've decided to join ToA for a semi-hardcore experience, one that ToA seems to promise.


8.) How did you hear about ToA? Do you know anyone in ToA? Please list their name(s).

During my time with [LOD], I've ran with you guys a few times--pretty awesome runs, and the members here were very open to killing additional champions and trying something new.  Unfortunately no, I don't know any ToA member . . . yet.


9.) Do you have Teamspeak and a headset with microphone?

Yes, yes. 


10.) How often do you play Guild Wars 2? Hours per day? Days per week?

On holidays and weekends, I'll be playing for 4 to 8 hours straight.  However, during weekdays, sometimes I could only login to finish dailies (due to job + college); I still try to squeeze in time to run one or two dungeon paths daily though.


11.) Did you play Guild Wars 1? (If Yes, please tell us your character names and what guilds you were in.)

I did.  Unfortunately I haven't log back in for a long time so I've forgotten the names.  I do have the titles and HoM skins as proofs though, if needed.


12.) Please tell us what is most important to you in a guild. Be specific.

Dungeon, dungeon, and more dungeons . . . with competent players without being too restrictive on team composition.

My guardian, warrior, mesmer, and ele are all have 45 AR, capable of doing FotM scale 40+.

You SHOULD switch to DB.  It might make your experience in ToA inconvenient to have to guest for all the guild events, etc. otherwise.

You meet all of the requirements, if you do decide to stay in Jade Quary we can only make you an alliance rank.

Nice kid.  Very quiet and hard to get on TS even for runs, but a good player.  I think he'll fit in well with ToA.  

Your variety of professions and advanced knowledge on about half of them is what makes this application stand out.

+1 for alliance. You have done some runs with us already, so lets get an official trial run done.

As much as I'd love to, I don't think I could.  WvW is a huge factor for me and I'm unable to play during NA prime time during weekdays.  JQ has had a chance to go against TC and FA, then against FA and DB in the past, thanks to random matchup; I didn't find much activeness in WvW from DB back then, especially outside of NA prime time. 

Plus, JQ has been my home since launch.  I really enjoy it here, going through different phases of the server.  I think it's really not possible for me to leave unless in the off chance that JQ becomes the next HoD (that is, all the major guilds suddenly leave and the server drop down to nothingness).

(also, the transfer fee is around ~70g to 90g, isn't it?  That's a lot of money that I don't think I can afford)

Thanks!  [LOD] really showcased the awesomeness of lightning-hammer ele (and fiery greatsword as well, of course).  I've even yanked my ele out of WvW and reinstate it into dungeon duties, while pushing my engineer into WvW as replacement. 

I'm going to need a lot of adapting to make it work and still retaining similar output dps in less organized teams though (overlapping fields, lack of additional firefield from guardian, etc.), but hey, it worth a try--it's too good to not give it a try, actually.

Most trial runs usually take place in CM. It proves to be a better test of ones ability as opposed to something like CoE which is usually faceroll easy.
