3.) Tell us about how you play your primary profession(s). How are you geared? what role do you play in a team?
On my guardian I run sword/focus with scepter/torch. It's a build that I started running in pvp to do big damage because it has great mobility and I find to be a lot more rewarding than playing what's known as a bunker. Changing weapons and utilities out lets me vary how the build plays a great deal. If the team decides that we want more support then all I have to do is put a hammer/staff in, most likely replacing the sword/focus set since torch still has some condition removal for the team and lets me keep the option for ranged damage in case of particular bosses / needing to regenerate energy / waiting for cooldowns / reasons.

On my necro I run scepter/dagger and staff. The build has condition damage, but my main goal was to spam so much weakness and blind so that any group could beat that room in CoF where you protect the asura from never ending charr waves while he blows up a door. In this regard I would consider the build a success. Just like the guardian build, changing out utilities grants an appreciable amount of flexibility for whatever the team might want.

Anvil Rock. I don't plan on changing right now because my express purpose of applying isn't WvW and I'm content with being an alliance member.


5.) What MMO games have you played in the past? Do you still play them?

The fact that ToA screens members and has a high level of activity for guild missions are the most appealing qualities.

I heard about ToA from Paul, we've been friends for thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis long. As you might imagine, this is quite some time.

yes, though I'm not a big talker on vent/ts/raidcall/mumble.


10.) How often do you play Guild Wars 2? Hours per day? Days per week?

I'm online every day in some capacity. There's a lot of afk, and sometimes I briefly run around in wvw for a jump puzzle and to try and slay a couple people. I'm not too drawn to the idea of doing endurance fractal grinding but doing a couple quick dungeon runs is more my speed.

12.) Please tell us what is most important to you in a guild. Be specific.
A minimum amount of oneupmanship and pompous douchebaggery.
People not being surprised when I don't know a particular dungeon technique, I only need to be told once - preferably before I get one hit by a boss.


13.) Any additional comments you would like to add.

Sometimes I like talking pve. It's not super serious roleplaying, but sometimes I'll talk about vanquishing enemies for great justice while the sun is shrouded by the wings of Tequatyloo.

You seem like a reasonable bunch so I hope the fact that I'm not an avid dungeon master / bigtime farmer won't negatively impact my application. However, I do know pvp pretty ok and I can be reasonably helpful in that area. I've said pvp like 16 times in this application, so I should mention now that I"m closing in on rank 39.

What are you looking to do in ToA exactly. Just dungeons in your spare time?

Guild missions and being able to pug dungeons/stuff with vetted players.

This is one of my friends from back in the day in gw1 and he's always interested in doing shit with me whatever it is and is looking to do some more pve stuff like that so I figured he might enjoy doing things with the guild. Just today I took him around our t3 bounty and the guild rush and he enjoyed himself quite a bit and decided he'd take me up on that offer to join the guild.

I don't want it to sound like he's only joining for the guild missions either cuz me and him always do all kinds of shit like some casual world bosses, super adventure box, dungeons, whatever. He's just looking for some good pve players to hang out with and do some non pvp as well.

He's a capable player and I'm sure he'd fit right in after he gets into the swing of things.
